Object Storage

STD.DEV uses Cloud Object Storage for the global distribution of persistent media content via edge servers and as backup storage. In a flat structure, files are stored as isolated objects, each with a unique ID and extensive metadata. This allows for direct access and efficient management of write-once, read-many, unstructured data.

This storage is also integrated into the 3-2-1-1-0 backup strategy, where three copies of data are stored on two different media, one of which is stored offsite. This maximizes data resilience and compliance for STD.DEV.
